Walking the Talk

May 16, 2012 2 Comments

I am SO excited!  Last week, I finished my 7-week spiritual bootcamp which really deepened my spiritual practice and got me into a daily routine that is manageable for me (shout out to Jennifer Hadley – my joy-filled bootcamp coach).  I am right in the middle of another spiritual development course (week 7 of 12) that I’m taking on Tuesday evenings from 7:30-10:30pm which is where the meditation workshop I talked about the other day came from.  I am really holding myself accountable to my commitment to “living in the light” and, for me, that means making significantly more time than I did in the past to keep my mind focused on being the spiritual qualities of God (not just knowing what they are).

Well, I’m so excited because there is a FREE “Living a Course in Miracles” workshop series that is about to start tomorrow night and it’s going to be awesome!  I already shared it with a few friends that I knew would be open to it, but today I decided to share the goodness with anyone reading this.  It’s definitely not something everyone will want to commit to, but if you’re someone who is interested in having a more positive experience in your everyday life, and are willing to learn and practice new (more loving and compassionate) ways of responding to the day-to-day challenges in your life, then I encourage you to give it a try…what do you have to lose since it’s free :-)?  Nothing at all.  I’m registered because I know that it takes work to undo my ego and old ways of thinking in order to see God in everyone and everything I see before me.  I am committed to living a life filled with joy, peace, love, harmony, compassion, forgiveness, patience, gratitude, etc., but I know that I am certainly not 100% living up to all of those qualities in every situation.  In order to build my spiritual muscle in these areas so that they become habit, I know I need practice.  That’s exactly what these sessions will focus on – “walking the talk and living the love”, as the tagline for the series states.

The class will take place on Thursday evenings (9:00-10:00pm EST) for the next 8-weeks (starting tomorrow!!).  You can also listen to the recordings for up to 48 hours (if the call time doesn’t work for you).  To sign up, visit http://livingacourseinmiracles.comIf you do register, shoot me a note to let me know.  I’d love to hear about any breakthroughs you have along the way and I will be sure to share mine with you!  Looking forward to “walking the talk and living the love” together!  Keep shining, everyone!

About the Author:

I used to live life shackled by fear, doubt, and worry. I put on a happy face while navigating my day-to-day duties, but I was emotionally drained, stressed, and unhappy. When I hit rock bottom, and was diagnosed with depression and anxiety, I was determined to live life differently. I knew there had to be another way. Out of that determination, and guidance from Spirit, the "Living in the Light" blog was born. It documents my spiritual journey out of the darkness and into the Light. After nine months of publicly sharing my journey, and consciously releasing my attachment to the ego, I experienced a powerful spiritual awakening. I went from living in fear, doubt, worry, and stress to complete inner peace. My greatest passion has become assisting others on their own journey to inner peace. My spiritual memoir, From Stress to Peace: An Intimate Journal on the Journey from Living in Darkness to Living in the Light, is available now on Amazon and BN.com. Click the tabs at the top of the page to learn more about the From Stress to Peace 21-Day Challenge, Living in the Light Retreats, 1:1 sessions, and the Living in the Light Community - all of which are designed to support your journey to inner peace. I appreciate you taking the time to visit the blog and look forward to supporting you in any way I can!
